after buying some new track shoes, i decided that while my credit card was out i should buy another shirt from threadless. Boss.

Haight on friday was a lot of fun. i didnt find whoes, which was my general reason for going. instead i bought some shirts and some cd's ive been looking for for a long time. I picked up The jim Yoshii pileup - homemade drugs, The firebird band - The city at night, Tokyo sex destruction - le red soul communitte, and radio 4 - stealing of a nation.

for valentines day i received a bee notepad. If anyone of you have seen the movie spellbound you know how special a gift that is.

my boss is trying to get me to work this saturday. ive been planning this saturday for a long time. my boss doesnt understand how hard it is for me to do something like this because he makes our work schedules a month in advance and this is the one and only weekend day i get off in a month. im not going in.

my work schedule has been so hectic. with school and track i barely have time for the int3rn3ts. i might start getting a tutoring job. if this schedule keeps up im never going to get this blog noticed and talked about in Spin magazine.

i saw sideways with jeanette. it was pretty good, i liked the characters. One thing i didnt like was all the wine tasting. If they had been music elitists instead of wine elitists most people would have thought they were assholes. just because its wine doesnt make it any better.

i went to a deli around the corner from my house. its called loris deli. i opened under new management a few months ago and its the first time ive been there since. The lady that served me didnt speak very good english and she forget my english muffin. However, when i asked for orange juice she gave me chocolate milk and thats pretty awesome. i dont think her name was lori.

Two bands i have really been listening to a lot lately are Kasabian and Autolux.

Autolux is kind of shoegazer indie rock. Really mellow. sometimes i get a flaming lips feel.

Kasabian is more like Electronic indie rock. theyre from the UK and they all have Liam Gallagher complex. Sound like BRMC. you can listen to their whole album Here. the album doesnt come out until march and the import is kind of expensive.

i have friday off from school and despite my boss' best efforts im going to go have fun. i will probably buy new shoes.

noise pop is coming up soon. i was just thinking how nice it would be to go to one of the shows this year. unlike last year, where i couldnt get anyone to go with me.
I will most likely be able to convince maggie to go with me to see hot hot heat and louis XIV at the Great American music hall.

That Louis XIV song "finding out true love is blind" is so annoying because it keeps getting stuck in your head. "And your little asian friend, she can come if she wants" may be one of the best lines in a song for a while for absolutely no reason at all.

i dont have school tomorrow or work, and despite my best efforts to motivate a friend to go into the city they have all become the worst adventurers ever. maybe tomorrow i will finally go see in good company. Jon Stewart from the daily show liked it. why shouldnt I?

The first time i ever heard Elliot Smith was when i saw the Royal Tenenbaums. It was that song, needle in the hay, that caused me to buy the soundtrack and ever since then ive been a big Elliot Smith fan. hes got a very haunting voice and his style isnt unlike Iron and wine. I picked up his self titled album and its really a good piece of musical genius.

Today i was feeling brave so i bought a chicken mesquite bbq sandwhich from 7-11. it had aged to the point where the barbecue sauce had congealed and resembled more of a cranberry sauce (from the can) like substance. i was able to peel it off the bun and it retained its composure.

another act of braveness: i dropped out of advanced calculas. I should feel guilty but i dont.
